Thank you. I used one strobe with a 20 degree grid very close to the black background so that a spot lit area was made. I used to make a "tube" out of cardboard (think large sized toilet paper roll) and slip it over the flash head. It works just as good. The main front light was one strobe positioned high and to the side to more or less skim across the face of the lock. Exposure was f8 @1/125 th sec.

Yes, the best thing about digital is being able to instantly review and make changes. Maybe in the lighting, assuming you have control. Maybe in the angle of view or background color. Sometimes you can improve it, sometimes not.

Your picture reminds me of a couple of photos I took while wandering through a flea market in an old country town in Virginia last spring. There on a table was a box of locks and right next to it a box of keys. The photo below is what I wound up with.



Now .... were did my dam keys go!

Yes it is very busy! But so is life. So many locks and so many keys to choose from.

The page-curl..... this image is the only time I have ever used it. In fact I don't think I have the software on my system that I did it with?

Oh, to have iNova's way with words. I meant I liked the composition. I don't think it's too busy at all. I have never been very good at "seeing" good arrangements in multiple items. Sometimes I think I simplify too much, so it's good to study how someone who can do it, as your picture shows,.... does it.

Are the foxes FREE?

If you have already paid that much for the chickens you wouldn't want to have to pay for the foxes too... would you!

(sorry, just my silly sense of humour!)

Perhaps you should stick with photography... I haven't ever heard of a fox eating a camera. Even if you do show the rest of us up, I enjoy seeing your pics, especially the lighting you use.
