of my site:

1. as it is (black background)
2. white background
3. light colour (maybe light blue / light cream)
Black has my vote BUT (and I know this was not asked for), I wish you would take the macromedia flash stuff out. Everytime I load the main page I get two macromedia flash download windows and a single dialog window which I need to close before I get to your site. This can be incredibly annoying for anyone that doesn't want the flash stuff loaded.

erhm, by replying you are of course merely propagating the thread, moving it back up to the top of the forum and hence encouraging more views and responses...

so here i am, doing my bit for the cause... i wanna see 1,000 posts here. that would have to be some kind of record, esp. considering the idiotic irrelevance of the whole thing
THIS HAPPENED 3 YEARS AGO.....

PHIL, PLEASE STOP THIS, I'M GOING MAD.
--------------------------------------i was gonna type something witty here but then i changed my mind.

Grrr, I know that! I mean for main forum page, and because
there is no starting date, that's the reason people gave
so many replies on SOOO old post. Reason is simple, in
main forum, you see title, who started it, date of last
post and number of posts, and since this has many
posts, Phil started it and it LOOKS fresh ppl reply...

If there would be a date in main forum, ppl would be aware!

Got it ?
Maybe would be good that you include date of when thread was created?

lets see......59,700,942 visitors since January 1999 by leaving as is......naaaa, it'll never be successful.....
It is obvious that if you leave the background black(as is), you
will never get anybody to visit your site ..ever!!!! :-)

OK! I GOT IT! I GOT IT! hahahah. Dah...... boy do I feel stupid! But I am laughing at myself.......
thanks Boyan! I needed that!

Not idiotic at all, it has many positive sides:

1) Phil & we now know he choosed color well 3 years ago :-)
2) We now know, main forums needs a fix - show a creation date too
3) He now knows, he got some faitful "customers" -- a bit jumpy tho
4) We now know his forums are sooo good, that they are not used
just for dig. photography discussion -- sooo many offtopic posts!
5) More bla bla, more chances someone clicks on banners and
makes us ALL happy

...and if I end with my opinion about color. It's time to change!

Use some nice texture like this one, insted pure black color:

The background to use is here:

1. as it is (black background)
2. white background
3. light colour (maybe light blue / light cream)
Black seems much more professional to me - it says "we're here to talk seriously about these cameras". That's what I'm looking for - not pretty/cute. (Excuse my bias against "cute" - here in Japan it is stifling) --Mr. Osaka

1) there is a better black than black (see my previous post)
2) you don't know what you replied to ;) ...see date of first post!

... like from an old B movie, we are all the walking dead slowly moving toward the "Colour Vote Preference" light, compelled to cast a final vote, so I'll cast yet another:
