***CTF 120 - Dilapitated - Voting Thread***

I haven't had much time to spend with this challenge over the past week or so. So it was a delight to take my time this evening and really look at all the images in the galleries. It was a very nice surprise to see that dilapidated subjects don't have to mean ugly photos. There are so many really wonderful shots in the galleries, I can tell people were really looking at their environment this past week. Good topic, Brent, and good job hosting, except for this little last bit where you ran off to Hawaii, lol! Thanks for taking up the slack Jano! Good work everyone! Sharon

When I was voting in Eligible, I happened to notice that 4th place is assigned 0.6 points and 5th place gets 0.8. Can someone correct that? I don't know if the same thing is true in Exhibition, as I had already voted there before I noticed the discrepancy.

Some really fine images, by the way. I am consistently impressed by the quality of the entries.
 
I am not sure that the points can be changed after you have pushed the button but before you do you can change them quite a bit by clicking on the different "levels". I find I frequently have to do quite a bit of "juggling" to get my point spread where I want it. I think the fact that they can't be changed is why we get that pop-up window asking us to check points before we push the final button. Sharon

I'm making deviled eggs ahead of time for Thanksgiving... and also my breakfast casserole for that morning. Wot are you all up to? :) I would take a pic of my deviled egg, bu then no one would want to eat it lol

Is it me or did this challenge end a day early? I'm confused. I usually vote on Tuesday nites and the challenge ends on Wed nite (my CST). Any clues?

I went to check the standings and was surprised to find that the voting was "final." Within the challenge site on pbase it says that voting will close on November 22 at 23:59:59. Looks to me like voting closed early. Does anyone know why?

I haven't been able to get a hold of techo, but I checked the voting dates/times and didn't see anything off at first sight. Obviously we will take the winners as they stand....but I would like to get an understanding of what has happened here before posting a winner's thread. I'm disappointed that I was not able to vote. I'll keep everyone posted.

the time changed but not the date. It is a mystery to me so far. I'm hoping to get in touch with techo. I'll put up the winner's thread shortly. (as soon as I get my casserole done) :)

Howdy :)

Sorry for not checking up on the threads. Things have gotten a little hectic at work , not that I'm complaining.

The CTF voting booth opens Monday evenings (not Tuesday like the CSLR booth), the exact time my vary but for us in the U.S. , it's Monday night/evening. I checked out to make sure the booth was open during the spare moments I had, and it was with even a few votes put in so I didn't check out the forum threads till just now. Thanks to Jano for putting up the voting thread and the link to it in the challenge thread.

I think we all know it opens Monday evenings...(US time) but it usually closed Wed evenings (US time)... and now we have a final vote count. Since it is Tuesday, and not Wednesday.... I'm confused.

Although I will put up a winner's thread.... please keep in mind everyone that the challenge will not start until Thurs (US time). I'm sorry if I seem to discriminate about other worldly time zones, but this time is all I can compare with right now. In other words.... please do not post any images for the new challenge until after tomorrow nite (or the normal time the challenge would start). Otherwise they may be put in pending immediately. Any questions...please post them here. Thank you

It did end a day early that's for sure. But given the margin of victory it really doesn't make much of a difference for the first place. Oh well.

Agree with J, we should stick with the original starting/ending dates for the next challenge.

I agree it makes no difference insofar as the 1st placegetters. But, it disappoints me that some were not able to vote as it ended too early. Be that as it may, we will get to the bottom of it and determine what happened.
