Photoshop hack to support 30D RAW

Your menthod shows PS CS 2. Can I do the same thing on CS (1)?

Does CS1 support .DNG? I read somewhere someone mentioned about converting RAW's to .DNG (I guess DNG stands for Digital Negative Graphic, and it's Adobe format?)

On PS CS (1), I am not seeing .dng format included in "Save As" list. So I believe that it can not convert into DNG format.

I do not have any .dng file, so I would not be able to say, wather it opens that file or not.

I modified the script once more but this time to replace Canon EOS 20D by Canon EOS 30D instead of "Canon EOS-1D Mark II" and it also did but there was a HUGE color shift. I'm not sure what it means, but I SUPPOSE that it should be somehow closer to the 1D Mark II than the 20D, although it sounds VERY strange

I am using Photosho CS 1.

Edited the Camera Raw.8bi file and replaced EOS-1D Mark II with EOS 30D.

When I open the Raw image of 30D camera, I am seeing the image split into four and the colors are altered.

Why is that? Is there any fix?

CS2 processes my camera raw files from my 20D. So why is this hack necessary?

I must be missing something. Would someone please explain.

2: Cleared the cash for camera raw

should be included in the most current ACR file. The camera has been out for a year.

I opened Camera Raw.8bi file in Hex Editor and changed the values manually.

Did I do something wrong?

No, You did the same as me then.

I did it through bridge. Tools/Cache/Purge central cache

I didn't say you did something wrong, I'd advise you nevertheless to copy back the original "camera raw" file and try running the script it MIGHT work

Canon EOS 1D Mark II N was included in Camera Raw 3.3. That file is compatible with CS 2 only. Not with CS 1.

Camera Raw 2.2 is latest for CS 1, which does not include Mark II N.
So I may not be able to use PS CS 1 to hack for 30D file.
