I know this has been discussed before, but I didn't find the exact answers to my question. What are the recommended camera bags for the A200?

I am looking at the Lowepro Nova series. Will the A200 fit in the Nova Micro? What about the Nova Mini?

I am looking for something minimal and don't plan on getting lenses (although who knows how I will feel a year from now). I just want to carry the A200, 2 spare batteries, and 3 or 4 flash cards. Also, does it make any difference whether the camera rests on its side or with the lens down in the bag?

Thanks!

I really like this one. Holds the camera, charger, 3 batteries,
bulb brush, lens paper, cleaning cloth and CF cards. A nice extra
is a water/dust proof cover that comes out of its own pocket to
cover the bag in bad weather.

That's a good one. I personally prefer the TLZ AW.
It does the same and holds a lot. It also travels really well.

Well at least my A2 does, with the lens hood on. There is also romm for the charger and cord, a few extra Memory cards and filters and not much else.

I like it because it ia a very small but highly protective bag. The reason I got the A2 instead of an SLR was the small size

I've got a Nova mini (had it for 5-6 years, so it may have changed) and the camera slides in vertically very nicely with the hood installed. There was enough room to leave the upright strips in place at the edges of the case. There's plenty of room in the front pouch to put stuff...

Just to follow up, I ended up getting the Nova Micro AW for my A200 and it is exactly what I was looking for. As noted above, it fits the A200 vertically with the lens hood with almost no extra space. It will also hold a couple of batteries (using the internal interior divider), extra memory cards, and the wireless remote.

Still, it was a bit bigger than I expected from the outside. I suppose that is an indication that it is well-padded. Construction overall looks very solid, and I got it for a great price (under $10). In hindsight, though, I probably could have gone with the non-AW version to get a slightly slimmer bag. I live in the SF bay area, so the chances I will be outside with my caera in the rain is pretty much zero. But I guess it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
