I have been a little tied up lately with the 11 week old but had spare time tonight so I decided to add a few birds shots off the backlog. Here are some Aussie birds for you all.
Enjoy!

These guyz are quick and love hiding in reeds

Black-winged Stilt

Cropped pretty hard but pretty sharp results

Vass,

Very nice series of shots.

Love the third one (waving at the photographer).

Thanks for sharing.

All excellent shots

love the merge shot

Wish I could afford the 300mm f4, not only financially but physically ;-)

Lovely shots. The last one reminds me of my kids when they try to avoid the sidewalk cracks.

Hey Bass

Really nice images. The 300 with or without the tc is amazing in sharpness, isn't it ? Keeps surprising me continuously.

Love the thornbill, the waving hobby and cool processing with fairywren.:-)

Cheers

Rahul

Very nice shots!

As usual, all are great. I love the third Hobby image.

you get better and better, you need another hobby, so you can stop the rest of us feeling inadequate

Great captures, as always. You are a superb ambassador for Australia's extensive birdlife.

Terrific series of captures vass. Like them all, but especially the hobby.

Don't see this bird often down my way, not since I got the 300mm f4. On my hit list.

Great shot of the swallow and a nice series of the stilt in flight. The second thornbill shot is also good, always difficult to get in the clear.

Thanks Dennis. With the hobby I haven't seen too many individuals but once I find one it hangs around the same area. I have a lot of flight shots on my backlog of it to upload but that might be 3-4 weeks before I get to process them. Another raptor I have been shooting is a brown falcon wich shares the same territory.

Now I can truly say that the lens is outstanding, and especially in the right hands.

Beautifully composed, and PP birds that I have seen so far from this lens.

Cheers
