I sneaked a card in D500 and managed to make some photos. Camera had 0.20 firmware in it, it is a pre-production camera.

These are jpegs from raws, LR default settings. I pushed shadows in two of the shots +100 in LR. They look clean.

In my opinion excellent results. Now I want not only D500, but the Df too! :D

Looks ok iso 400 looks cleaner then iso 400 on my D7200 and on up looks to be quite good but it will take more sample shot in low light to really see the noise it produces like at a concert or wedding reception or indoor sports event in bad lighting.

I have a video i need to shoot on the 29th if it is here by then i will shoot it in 4K.

Is this real? Looks awesome!

This makes waiting another week real hard!

This is my issue too. Even when there's light D7200 and 7DII had noise in shadow areas for ISO below 800. I like to clean images at lower ISO. Not sure if it's because of NR.

These are very good! Anyone FF folks care to compare to your camera's high ISO performance? I can only compare to my lowly D5000 and it looks a little bit better ;) I'm wondering if it really is D810-like noise levels (per Todd Owyoung).

I removed EXIFs so that the serial of the camera is not visible. And also so that nobody can see how unproffesionally I shot this. I was not in manual lifting shutter speed, I was in P mode, with the camera more closing the lens than shooting quicker, the ISO 51200 shot was at f20 and 1/400, which is stupid. This is all I managed, I was very nervous. I am not a thief nor magician and not very profficient with these sorts of actions.

Impressive!

How did you process the RAWs?

Some cameras, some lenses, some computers

Thanks for sharing these. However the exposure are pretty similar and does the job :)

Thanks for sharing.

They look outstanding to me. The amount of detail that remains even at ISO 12,800 is incredible in my opinion.

Can't wait to see more examples soon.

When I attended the launch events here in Seattle, starting This Thread I began reporting on what I saw on the LCD at various ISO's. What you are showing here really matches what I was seeing then, and now that we see this in "real" size, my notion that ISO 6400 would be pretty darned reasonable is looking even more possible.

Not sure how you got away with this, but thanks a bunch and hope you don't get into any trouble. And let us not forget, firmware .20, correct?
