After a few months of using the camera without problems, since yesterday it insists on setting itself to multiple exposure, even with the drive dial set to S (single shot) as always. On the bottom left corner of the screen, instead of showing the A it shows the multiple exposure icon. It is not the lens's switch. Then, on its own, the camera goes back to A mode, and next morning to multiple exposure mode. Now I don't know if there is something I can do with settings or I must send the camera to repair.

I don't have the XT1, but I would go under the drive mode and check to see if your ADV setting isn't on multiple exposure.

Have you tried going to set-up Menu 3 and under the Lock setting use "unlock all" ?

I don't see a multiple exposure setting in ADV.

I don't see a multiple exposure setting in ADV.
Then it should show panoramic. These are the only two choices under the drive mode For XE2.

The switch under the ISO wheel (left top of camera) hasn't been inadvertently bumped from its "S" setting to its "CL" or "CH" setting , by any chance?

If you can't find anything wrong with your settings when encountering problems like this, do a factory reset. This should return your XT to a know state. If the problem exists after the factory reset, you should consider sending it to fuji for repair.

Yes, I'll try that, but I'm afraid I will have to send it for repair.

No, it is precisely with this drive wheel how I try to solve the problem.

I had a recurrent error message no matter what I did. What seemed to return everything to normal was to turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Turn the camera switch to on, then off after a few seconds. Put the battery back in and turn the camera on. Maybe that would help.

Done. Didn't help. I guess it means I must send the camera for repair. Oh well.

Hello Enir4, what ever happened with your x-t1 issue you mentioned here? I have a 2014 x-t1, its my favorite take it every where machine. Recently its started to do the same thing, it goes it to panorama mode. especially during a operation and not at power up. wanted to see what you figured out with this issue.

I had an xt1 recently taking adv filter shot, out of the blue… but exercising various dials etc. , switching it on and off seems to have fixed it - it may be some sort of contacts issue under the top dials ….

The first thing is to remove battery, then put it again Check if the issue is still there If yes reset the camera to default and check Try also another c ard, do a complete non fast format on the card.

If after that it is still doing problems consult a repair service

Frequently with present electronic cameras such events can occur

.Usually the reset cures the problem
