In the Catskills there are spots where you can see hundreds of Them from one spot! Sorry no pics...ain't been there since my film days

Yeah, not the motherlode, but my town is, they are all over, especially the bigger older homes, and peaking now. They look great against the old homes, tudors, stone, big and small.

Here's two smaller houses, (just heading out, pull over, snap)

















Remember the giant tudor on the hill I used for test shots? 3 were built by lumber king for his 3 daughters, They were FULL of ancient huge Purple Rhodies, the new owners cut them all out, what a crime against Rhodies. I think to make the houses look bigger for resale.

Jersey also is loaded with those bushes that have big blue flowers. The blue coms from feeding them with Miracid.

Hydrangeas, we have some, my BIL has many, some people alter their color with various additives as you say, in addition to different species.

Yes, One of NJ's major assets is it's beautiful Shrubbery/flowers. NEW Jerseyans are very proud of their Landscaping talents around their homes.. very big into the mindset.."Keep up with the Jonses" That goes for Decorating their homes with Xmas lights also ;-) And that's a Good thing!

Remember I grew up in Jersey.... Orange then Union to be exact!

Thanks, glad u like them. Yeah, 1st is my current screensaver. Not tired of it yet. I tend to like the close or cropped shots, the others are just to show the properties.

They had a trash bag at the curb, which I moved, a fire hydrant, 3 ADT signs, and that's an AC Compressor that looks like a trash can. I messed with the depth so it would not be too oblivious, and wanted the magnificent tree trunk in there which also helps you not notice the compressor too quickly. Luckily the parked cars that were there earlier had moved when I returned.

I've been waiting for better light, but thought the flowers might drop, so I messed with light levels, don't know what I am doing yet.

Imagine if it was a nice day like this, with all those beloved shadows. Just out the top of the convertible waiting at a light.
