C-4040Z Question

How do I set the camera to retain sequential image numbering from one media card to the next? Am I correct in assuming that if the batteries are out of the camera long enough to loose the time setting, then the sequence number will reset to zero and also the setting on the camera will reset to the start-over mode?

Just to make sure I have the camera set right, can you give me the settings?

To keep the photo sequence number (short of running out of power), I think that the sequence you want is:
Menu
Setup
File Name
Auto
assuming the 4040 is like many other Olys.
