I'm trying to get my flashes to work off camera with my A6000.

I have 2 flash at the moment, both for Canon, Nissin Di622 & Yongnuo YN560II, so my questions are:

1. Would Yongnuo 622-TX & 622 II receivers work with my flashes? I can't seem to find the answer online.

2. If not, what wireless trigger system should I get?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't know about the 622's but I know these 603's work with my A6000 and my YN560III flash. The 560III flash has a receiver built in, not sure if that's true for the 560II. But the 603's in the link come in a pair, so you can put one on the camera, and one on your flash.

Be advised that you may have to scrape some paint from your hotshoe to get any of this to work.

thanks for your reply! I found video of 603 working with a6000, looks like it will fire any flash, but only up to 1/200 shutter speed. Also found another video on Pixel King's transmitter, supports HSS, maybe I'll look into that for future HSS flashes.

Just a warning: quality control can be pretty inconsistent with Yongnuo. I had that problem. The triggers only worked half the time. It was so frustrating I gave up on triggers altogether and just bought Sony flashes that automatically sync together. I still see it as one of the best upgrades I've ever made.

There are some that get good copies and have no issues, though. Just the luck of the draw.

Yeah I'm aware of the mix review of yongnuo stuff, some say it works some don't, that makes the already confusing sony flash option even worse.

So which Sony flash did you get? does it have radio trigger built in? can A6000 fire wireless flash signal to it without any kind of flash trigger?

I have the HVL-f20m and the HVL-f32m. The camera can't work as a commander. The 20 can only be a commander, it doesn't work off camera as a slave. The 32 can be on or off camera and can be the slave or the commander. I attach the 20, turn everything on, make sure it's all set to wireless, and start taking pictures. I believe that the 20 can control up to four or five different flashes at once if you eventually needed that large of a set-up

I wont deny that it's hugely more expensive. But I got so frustrated and angry with the triggers that it's worth it to me. Also, the 32 is a great match for the camera when I'm using bounce flash. I always have it with me.
