I'm aware that the Z8 has banding with HSS with some brands of strobes/flashes but was wondering if anyone ran into any banding when using other cameras that have mechanical shutters?

I was playing around with my Zf for example with my Godox TT685 and X2T-N transmitter (all firmware is up to date as of today) and noticed what I feel is a small bit of banding at 1/8000s and was just curious if anyone else ran into banding issues with these cameras (cameras with mechanical shutters). This kind of surprised me, as it wasn't visible at 1/6400s, may be slightly visible at 1/4000s, and below 1/4000s I couldn't see any evidence of it. Obviously anything beyond 1/4000s may be an extreme case and may not be that common of a use-case scenario. I might need to go back and try with my AD200 Pro (which is newer, as the TT685 I have is now about 5-6 years old, so pre-Z era flash).

Just curious if anyone else has run into this or seen this before on the camera with mechanical shutters. I'd like to keep the Godox system but I also want the ability to do HSS when needed (versus using ND filters) for my Z system.

(FWIW i did ask Westcott about HSS and banding on the Z8/Z9 and they told me that on their flashes, one should be fine up to 1/2000s but beyond that it may be prone to banding, but you may need their newest FJ X3 trigger. Oddly, they told me that they haven't tested a Z8 in the lab so it's possible this is based on a z9 test, but since the two are basically identical in terms of hardware it probably doesn't matter, and should produce the same results either way.)
