X30 viewfinder issue

I have posted this on the Finepix page as it may be others have had the same issue with other Fuji cameras :

For no obvious reason the evf on my x30 was dim this morning. I removed the battery for a few moments,and after replacing it, it seems to have done the trick.

I wonder if any anybody else has had the same thing happen , and if so, did you try the same remedy, and did it recur?

I've used an X30 as my everyday-carry camera for about 2.5 years. Sorry, but I've never experienced the dim-viewfinder problem that you're describing.

Did you maybe inadvertedly push the EVF view button? The manual may help. I recently sold my X30, but never had a dim EVF. I assume you mean the EVF has gone black.
