Will this 2-point QD camera strap setup work?

I was inspired by a video from Wildlife Inspired w/Scott Keys to devise a camera strap system using 2 QD (quick disconnect) connections for my R5 + RF 600/4. (You can find the video here:
) I am exploring a 2-point system because I think it will be more stable than a 1-point system like Black Rapid, which requires me to hold the lens foot while walking -- a difficult task when maneuvering over rough terrain. However, I have no idea if this system will work!

The basic idea is to attach a Magpul MS1 QDM Two Point Rifle Sling to 2 QD sockets: 1 socket on the Leofoto CF-05 Lens Foot (replacing the factory foot) and the other socket on a Kirk 1" Quick Release Clamp with QD Socket that will be attached to the Leofoto foot.

Has anyone else tried this or something similar? Any thoughts if this will work? Is there a more suitable clamp with a QD socket?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I have used this setup for quite some time. I have a Peak Design Slide strap that I've modified to use QD connectors on each end. One end of the strap attaches to the QD socket on my replacement foot on the RF 600 f/4 (was the Leofoto foot but now is RRS replacement foot) and the other end of the strap with QD connector attaches to a Leofoto DC-22Q Micro QR clamp (picture attached) which is attached to the replacement lens foot (Arca Swiss clamp).

This provides two QD connect points to the replacement lens foot on the RF 600 f/4 lens which then hangs parallel to the ground when I carry it with the Peak Design strap cross body.

BTW, I also saw the video you referenced from Scott Keys and have used that exact setup as well with the RF 600 f/4. In that instance one end of the Peak Design strap with QD attaches to the QD socket on the lens foot and one end of the strap attaches to a QD socket on my Leofoto monopod via a Leofoto QDC-40 clasp.
