Why is it fuzzy?

Add some contrast in whatever image editing program you use. There are a number of ways to do it depending on the program but most have a method of increasing the contrast. You might also increase the brightness slightly at the same time to compensate. It looks like you forgot to use a flash or maybe it didn't go off.

have a method of increasing the contrast. You might also increase
the brightness slightly at the same time to compensate.
I've found that the brightness and contrast controls in most photo
editors do not make it easy for you to zero in on the best adjustment.
So I prefer to use a photo editor that has a levels adjustment that
displays a histogram. In the Adobe photo editors you have a levels
dialog in which you can easily set black to black and white to white
to eliminate the hazy look. In the same dialog you can also set the
color balance. I looked at the other pictures of ginger in the dogcrazy
gallery to try to get the color right. Here's the result:
