I see alot here use the Canon flashes and some use the Sigma flashes.

I am thinking of building up a kit with at least 4 flaches in it that can be used as a key, fill, hair and bg light on location. I have studio lights at least two Stroboton's 102 & 202 at this time using my current flashes as a hair light at the present. I have a need for portable lights as when I do event photography I get asked to do some Portraits and I do not all ways have electricity at these events.

So I figure a kit of four strobes powered by Quantum Batteries with modifiers woudl be the ticket for when this happens.

I figure to see what the difference between the Canon 550/580 lights and the Sigma 500 Super lights are.

If four Sigmas woudl do everythign I need and work amonst them selves great then with the monies saved I could invest in other equipment with the monies saved. I think I saw where you could get two Sigma flashes for the cost of one Canon 580 flash.

Other than the know differences in cost and the typical third party lack of quality what are the disadvantges of the Sigma flashes and what would the Canon flashes give me that the Sigma don't?

I guess no one wants to help out a newbee.

But if you do How about some used Quantum Tmodel QFlashes? I figure I can get them for the same price and since I am powering them by quantum batteries anyway the eexta cost will be the Turbo cost difference.
