The buyer of my D60 left 5 min ago, leaving me with some cool 2110.00 EUR (=$).

See thread about the sell (not for sensible natures, since lots of flaming):

What to do? Order a 10D? Put a deposit on a 1Ds? Wait for the new 1D or a digital EOS 3 (both due in appr. 1-3 months)? Buy Canon stocks?

Have money and no cam. Bad, bad, bad.

According to some, you should buy a used D30 and buy some "L" glass.

I haven't a clue what fell on them to make them think that:-)

As to what do I think?

I think your decision will depend on your pocketbook.

I think the 10D is a mature camera filled with wonderful features that will keep a camper happy for years and years.

But if the money is there, wait for the other shoe to fall and then make the final decision, not looking back after you make your choice:-)

Having the same delima myself.

The 10d has helped clear it up for me, brand new camera and looks like it will be hot for a while, but not my dream camera.

So if nothing else presents itself, I will buy one as a stop gap measure and see what else comes down the pike.

I am willing to take the 1ds plunge, but the more I read about the 1ds, the more I realize it is missing some important features I want, and at the price, I feel it should not be missing these features.

You mention new cameras below, do you have a sense of what Canon will do?

Paul Pope seemed to be the only person that had any accurate info here that I saw, says Sept 03 for more new DSLR's, what do you think.
