Avoid like the plague. Ordered $2300 TV, they called 4 days later and said the price would be $500 more. Nick Tate called and said the advertised price was not for a Samsung component Samsung TV. Nothing of this was said on the website when ordering. They lowball the quote on internet search and then bait and switch the sale. Also, website said shipping 5-10 days. After the 4 day later call, was told shipping would have been 3 weeks from original order date. Rude, bait & switch, upsell marketers. AVOID!!!!

after 12 !!! years still bogus and in trade???

Stay away from Nice Electronics. Just another bunch of jerks adding to the New York stereotype.
And what stereotype is that?
The stereotype is that internet electronics stores located in NYC will bait you with a very low price. After you place the order, they give you a call and pressure you into buying more stuff. If you don't go along with it, they'll tell you your order has been has been delayed or there has been a problem with the shipping or something, in an attempt to get you to cancel your order.

No, at least I know 1 store in NY/Manhattan that is worldwide famous for their service and delivery.

The stereotyping I see is the shop names mentioned in previous reactions; Nice Electronics??? Any bussiness with 'nice' (and not being an asian name) should ring alarm bells. A shop named 'United Camera' also shares the "we try to present a certain feel in our name' (but less obvious).

Avoid gutplay stores, online and offline.

Avoid 'nice price' from "never heard of that shop before".

If B&H, Adorama, Calumet, Brenner Foto Versand (german) cannot deliver the same crazy deal (but with service), it is because it is not possible.

I should have said Brooklyn rather than NYC to exclude B&H and Adorama. I think the type of scam that the OP referred to nearly always originates in Brooklyn.

(If you want to continue this discussion, we should probably start a new thread in Open Talk, since this one so old)

Out of 368 reviews about 60 of them are bad.

287 are perfect review.

Score: 9.94/10
Another amazing part of this thread: a poster who has since registration in 2004 all of 20 (twenty) posts.

BTW: the description of how the store called and claimed the price was for a version that didn't have 'original Samsung parts' is classic 'bait and switch'.

I just wanted to "refresh" this warning about Nice Electronics - THEY'RE SCAM - Good thing I found this forum - It was a little late, I had ordered a Canon 5D Mark III for a stupid incredible price, and I decided to order because I search on google shopping, and the "reviews" from "reselleratings.com" was 5 stars - Obviously this review site is not that accurate, and all the reviews are very suspicious, all made almost at the same day, or fom profiles that visited the site just once.

I got a call from NICEElectronics.com 4 days after I complete the order - (I knew it was an imported model, since the price was low, but the description on the site said nothing about it). The person came with a bad sales speech, tried to tell me the Imported model as no good - It was made in South America (All canon cameras comes from JAPAN, imported or USA body) - He tried to make me believe it was a bad choice, and was better for me spend $500 more on a USA camera made in Japan - Yeah right - I cancelled the order right there, and the customer service rep got very upset.

I tried to Write a bad review on "resellerratings.com" and it was denied, because it has no purchase involved (I canceled). The merchant claims your review is in violation of our policy #9 (Terms of Use for Non-Purchasers) - Yeah right, another scam right there...

Needless to say, I ordered my camera from well-loved store, Adorama - perfect, and it was a good price (actually the same price at the sales speech guy at nice electronics wanted me to believe).

So, few points:

NEVER order form NiceElectronics.com unless you want to get a call and pay more for what you want.

DO NOT trust on resellerratings.com reviews, since is suspicious been forged.

Thanks!!

I bought a Canon EOS 6D from the Nice Electronics website today. About an hour later, I got a call from 'Alfred', telling me that it was a 'Latin American model', so it had no wifi or GPS, it only shot video in the PAL format, and that it was not covered by any Canon warranty! I immediately asked that they cancel the transaction, but he tried to upsell a 'U.S. model' (for almost $400 more!) before I ended the conversation!
I won't be visiting their website again!

Hello, heed the warning!

I bit on their sales and bought a camera and lens. Both turned out to be gray market despite being roughly the same price as reputable sites. I now own a camera and lens that have no warranty and now must hope they survive.

Only buy from them if you know what you are getting in to!

No, only buy from reputable retailers and there won't be 12 year old threads about the same scam artists.

The warning that our parents gave us about people who call themselves "nice " also applies to businesses...go figure.

SHYSTERS - BAIT AND SWITCH ARTISTS – STAY AWAY.

I recently purchased a Samsung TV from “Nice” AFTER calling to confirm with them that it was a US model, not a “South American” model with a lesser quality board, etc.

After placing my order, I get an email asking me to contact them via text or email. I texted them – no response. Email – no response. Phone call – vm full. Phone call – no return phone.

A week later I get a call from the “manager” telling me that the TV I ordered was a “South American” model – lesser quality than US. Of course I was advised that if I wanted I could get the US model for an increased cost.

Bad enough that this was not disclosed on their web site, but even worse is that they lied to me when I specifically asked if the TV was a US model, full warranty, etc.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHYSTERS

Total bait and switch tactics... ordered TV for low price, free shipping, no sales tax on a Tuesday. Get email 2 days later (Thursday) asking for phone number to arrange shipping, I reply, then get email back saying they will touch base Sunday/Monday to give exact shipping time. Get call Tuesday from Nick, tells me the TV that I ordered is a South American version that has Spanish menus, etc. US version would be about $500 higher, I reluctantly agree since it was still cheaper than Best Buy, then he tells me I have to pay sales tax because they just moved into a new building in Edison, NJ at Raritan Center and I was in NJ too so I had to pay. Like an idiot I agree since it's still a few hundred cheaper than best buy, then he says are you picking it up or paying for shipping! This is a large TV with supposed free shipping! Whatever I agree to pick it up I'm annoyed at this point. He says come after 2pm next day (Wednesday) as TV will surely be there by then. He calls me 2:30pm next day (Wednesday) says Samsung won't deliver only 1 TV to him, but he'll have it delivered to my house for another $50 !!! They get really annoyed when you tell them to cancel the order, and they bully you into agreeing to their terms. High pressure sales.

The odd part is that they have almost excellent feedback on resllerratings.com which now makes me believe that site is total b.s.

They did take the time to explain the differences in the TV panel monitors and the whole outsourcing issue with Samsung, which was informative, but they seem like fast smooth talking scam artists from Brooklyn with yiddish accents, hopefully that was somewhat P.C.!

Beware!!!
