Hi all,

Does anyone know of a USB 2 (high speed) CF card reader that works with MicroDrives?

I had a Lexar Firewire reader and it now is screwing up my WinXP box (don't know if it is bad or just that there are driver problems) -- basically it adds 2 minutes to the boot time of my machine.

I tried an IOGear USB2 CF reader and it doesn't work with Microdrives (it would have been nice of them to say that on the package so I didn't waste the time buying and having to return it of course).

Thanks.

Mydigitaldiscount.com

Is advertising one of these for $29 bucks.

I know USB 2.0 has buss power, but will it really be enough to power a microdrive. For me, I am sticking with firewire.

I have the ADS version of the Lexar and it works perfectly under WIN XP SP1.

The drivers are built into WIN XP. You might have a bad reader. Send it back.

I use the one from mydigitaldiscount.com with a 1GB IBM Microdrive. I've been using it for a couple months now with absolutely no problems. Works great and the price was very right...
