Oops, I have accidentally been shooting uncompressed raw files for an entire week...

If I use Adobe DNG converter and do not use lossy compression on these, than the resulting DNG files are still smaller. Am I correct to assume, I can safely convert all raw files to save disk space while retaining the original image quality?

You will lose some of the metadata.

Thank you, but if I am willing to accept that, than I should be good, I hope?

Yes, if you use lossless compression when you save the DNG files.
