Me and a friend went to make some nature photography. We made a few photos of the same scene. On one of the pictures a UFO-shaped thing is visible - but only on that one. So the lens and the sensor couldn't be dirty. Is it a UFO? Or may it be a tiny bug flying fast in front of the lens?

Please check out the pictures:

That doesn't look like no UFO that I've ever seen... :)

You sure you didn't accedently or otherwise run a can of gray spray paint along the image while you were in photo shop?

Seriously... If that's a UFO... it sure don't look like much.

I have the original raw file. That's the proof. I don't say it's UFO. But then what?

Either a very small rain cloud... fast flying bug... or maybe a rock that happend to be moving quite fast across the area you were photographing? I really have no idea...

You can expect a visit from the men in black... you've captured the non-existent Aurora recon craft! You should hide. Now.

Joseph,

I believe this is dust on the sensor. When the mirror flips up, during the exposure, minor turbulence can move particles on the sensor.

I have seen similar on my camera.

the so called UFO sighting pics are alwasy too blurry to make up what it is? it could be anything but it is most probably either an airplane or a dirigeable.

no, it's probably an airplane body or just a dirigeable like Goodyear often use here..it's too blurry to make up which one it is, but I would definitly not call it a space ship yet.. Once I captured a 3 disk formation that was flying when taking photos of dragonflies..not sure what that was but like in your case..you can call it a UFO for your because for you it was a unidentified flying objects..be it a plane or another very well-known flying obect.

so in that regard for you it is, for us it is too, but it is probably not alien :)

...but I have a feeling it's just dust. I had an almost identical artifact on some pictures I took last weekend. In a series of burst shots, it shifted wildly all over the sensor. Then in the next series, it was completely gone.

Oddly, I have a couple of friends living in Bekes who haven't heard of any UFO activity.

The last "UFO activity" I remember is the couple of funny students drawing corn-circles for the excitement of local journalists and amusement of everyone else when they have confessed it.

here in England last year i watched an entire tv prog devoted to these so called rods, the guy was claiming they were aliens and had many hours of vidieo footage showing these exact same things only of course they were moving. they shot past his camera so fast that it needed slowing down to see them better, the program made little effort to try to explain them (these psuedo scientific films rarely do) BUT later in the year a team did actualy investigate them and came to the conclusion they were flying insects so close to the camera as to be out of focus. but far enough away to register on the tape. Dont ask for details of the program cos i have forgotten.

Just for the sake of clarity, Galaktika Barati Kor is an organization of readers of Galaktika, a science fiction magazine printed in Hungary. Its not an UFO club.

Besides that, we were disputing of UFO activities in Gyomaendrod and not UFO club member activities. Or did we?
