Hello all, I am new to this forum and don't know much about photography. I was hoping to get some help with a couple questions. At my place of work we were cleaning out a basement and in a pile of dusty electronic junk I found two rather nice looking camera lenses. It felt like such a shame to toss them out when they looked pretty much new that I held onto them. I don't have a camera that fits them or if they are even worth keeping out of the landfill but I thought I would try to find out.

they are a:

Promaster spectrum 7, 1A, 52mm lens

and a

Minolta Rokkor - X, 50 mm lens

from what i have looked up they can get mold and dust in them, the roccor X had a carrying case and a lens cap and looks ok on the inside. the Promaster looks like maybe it has some oil on the inside of the lense?

when I found this local Paducah forum and was hoping i could possibly get some info or meet with or be directed to someone I could take them to for more info.

I'll suggest asking on the Adapted Lens Talk forum. Folks there can probably ID them.

I assume they're Minolta SLR mount lenses from the film era, but never shot Minolta so just a guess. If so, an adapter will allow shooting manually on a digicam.
