I'm just playing, there's nothing else to do.

I really enjoy working with George's images. Always great subjects. This has probably been discussed before, but what is the point of underexposing by a full f/stop? My first subjective adjustment in ACR offset this setting. I had lots of leeway on the bright end of the histogram, except for a tiny bit of background brightness that was corrected with the recovery slider.

Using evaluative or center weighted metering and no exposure compensation might be a better starting point. Maybe post some bracket shots here on dpreview for evaluating. Just a "touch" of soft fill flash might add some sparkle that wouldn't need to be added in PP.

First off, beautiful work from all of lovely images.....

Tried a quick smudge

Ray

Thanks Eda. Totally agree with Ray, beautiful images from everyone!

Here a quick summary of the steps I used for smudging her eyes.

First I burned the outer ring of the Iris to darken it a bit along with the pupil.
Dodged the center of the iris leaving the inner and outer most edges.

Then used the Smudge Brush from Linda's Brush Set at 10-15 pxl and set the strength to approx. 23% then altered the direction of my brush strokes. One stroke would go from the outer ring of the Iris to the Pupil pulling the color inward the next from the pupil to the outer ring of the Iris pulling the color out.

Hope that helps!

Rebecca
