The Manual focus lens image thread:

Sorry no AF lenses. Post your better shots here, I would like this to be a showcase showing that you don't need a new AF lens to get good results.

No test shots, lens porn is ok if it's followed by some shots from the lens. Please provide lens info(brand, focal length/aperture, & mount).

And please let's keep the atmosphere positive.

Mod's: Is there any way to remove/increase the max number of posts?

First up is a shot from my Canon FD SSC 35/2.8 tilt/shift from the pic above.

That lens is truly amazing, I will be using it much more often and hopefully get a better handle on its tilt/shift functions.

2 shots from my Minolta Rokkor MC 28/2.5

This lens is hardly talked about, I think it's brilliant, it has tons of character wide open and very sharp stopped down.

My lens of choice on the 5n is the MIR 24n, 35mm f2. The focus ring's a bit stiff, but the ability to focus in very close to subjects makes it my go to lens on the NEX. i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Lens Turbo to give me a proper 35mm FOV, but we'll see how we go.

Vivitar 28-90mm with rubber lens hood. Hand held. A little cropping done on the bubble shot. Otherwise no processing. Saved in JPEG which I'm getting away from. Been reading on HDR lately and will shoot RAW to keep more info from now on.

Had conversation with one camera buff who was curious about the Nex. Other cameras seen included about a thousand point and shoots, a few Canon/ Nikons including one guy who really wanted some shots of his daughter. Had a Canon with the huge lens, battery pack, etc. Whole affair looked about the size of a cement block.

Ice cream day at the Experimental farm Activities for families and mostly kids. Gardens, animals. Last weekend. Good time had by all.

No problem.

Leitz Elmar 50/3.5. One of the smallest lenses that can be mount on NEX and with a small workout, can be even collapsed. Mount M39. Camera - Sony NEX 5N

More Leitz Elmar 50/3.5

Leica Summicron 40/2 C. Another very small lens. Real pleasure to use, and quite easy to find, this lens is one of the few underestimated (price-wise) real Leica lenses. Mounted on NEX 7.

CZJ Biotar 75 f1.5 early post war version. Using longer FL in MF for the street, could be a bit tricky but by no means impossible. Mounted on NEX 7...

Finally - here is a set of 100% crops shot using MF with Canon FD 50 f1.2. Hit rate was more successful than using set lens 18-55 in AF. Sony NEX 7 at high speed rate.
