I have three SD9s. One bought new-in-box suddenly stopped holding the memory card door closed, so I had to use magic tape to get round that. Another one was bought dead so I could use the battery tray to keep charged for quick swap so as to keep shooting.
Today I dug up the third one to see if it still worked after about three years in a drawer. It had four eneloop AAs in the carrier - flat according to the top LCD but the two in the grip did show some charge. I charged up the AAs, installed the carrier and turned the camera on ... date was 11/20/2024 !!!
