  1. Support for RAW video output via HDMI to ATOMOS recorders has been added.- [8.1K(3:2)], [8.1K(17:9)], [7.2K(3:2)], [5.7K(17:9)], and [4.8K(4:3)] 12-bit RAW video data can be output over HDMI.- The ATOMOS HDMI field monitors/recorders "NINJA V+", "NINJA V", "NINJA", "NINJA ULTRA", "SHOGUN", "SHOGUN ULTRA", and "SHOGUN CONNECT" allow for recording in Apple ProRes RAW.* This does not guarantee all performance capabilities.* "NINJA V+", "NINJA ULTRA", "SHOGUN ULTRA", and "SHOGUN CONNECT" support all video RAW data. "NINJA V", "NINJA", and "SHOGUN" do not support certain video RAW data.* To edit video RAW data recorded with ATOMOS recorders, software that is compatible with Apple ProRes RAW is required.* If you wish to edit video RAW data with the same color tone as V-Log/V-Gamut, please use the LUT available on the support site below.

  10. AF Recognition has been enhanced.- "Urban Sports" recognition has been added to the automatic recognition targets.
  11. Focus stacking feature has been added.- Deep-focus images can now be generated by compositing images taken at multiple focal points.
  12. Enhanced Image Copying Function- It is now possible to copy files recorded on an SD card/CFexpress card directly to an SSD.
  13. Improved Focus Ring Operability for Interchangeable Lenses- A preferred function can now be assigned to the focus ring.- The rotation direction of the focus ring (clockwise/counterclockwise) can now be set.- Lenses compatible with this function are required.
Click here for confirmed operation information on compatible lenses.
  14. Enhanced Pixel Refresh Function- An option to automatically perform pixel refresh has been added to the menu.- This will be automatically set to ON after the firmware update. The mechanical shutter will operate while the pixel refresh is in progress.- Pixel refresh function runs automatically on first power-off after the firmware update.

TY! Great update as usual. One of the primary reasons I've shifted to Panasonic recently. Great post-purchase customer support.

Digging 10-bit HEIF instead of JPEG.

Does anyone know yet whether the in-camera composited image from the focus stacking process is a jpeg or a raw file? Canon has this feature on its latest higher-end cameras but it only results in a composited jpeg file. A composited raw file would be extremely attractive to me.

I was wondering the same thing, and read that it was going to be a JPEG. I had hoped for a RAW or an HEIF file, but it's better than it was before.

+ added new focus mode Urban sport activities (same as with S1II. Having HEIF is nice, however buffer clearance with HEIF instead of JPG is twice as long.... Some sort of heavy in-camera processing comes into play. For fast bursts it is problematic.

On top of that modern AI NR programs (Topaz, ON1, DXO) etc. cannot remove the noise effectively from the Hi-Iso JPG shots - and HEIF is kind of that. JPG noise-reduction-qualitye is noway close to RAW NR processing. And when using HLG processing (high dynamic range) the shot must be still adjusted, so why not go directly with RAW.

Maybe it can appeal to some - however I will probably not use it.
