S1 mirror stuck

Help - the mirror is stuck open. I was running low on both batteries - when they failed the mirror stuck open. In the past when this has happened - the mirror has shut down when I replace the batteries - it hasn't thiss time .....any suggestions

Helen,

You might try using the power adapter as if you going to clean the CCD.

This just might kick start the camera.

Not sure . . . but worth a try.
