RE: XS-!- What serial numbers should I be looking for?

I am thinking about buying an XS-1 for a friend, which serial numbers should I be looking for to avoid orbs & drooping lenses? I will be buying it from Amazon(a new one) so I want to know what serial numbers I should look for when it arrives to avoid those issues. Thank you for your help!

Ones that start with 21 or 22. Unless they have sorted by fuji.

mine is a 33A never had a problem and got it on amazon

I thought the 33-34 series Fuji's were the ones that had the latest improvements to lens droop or possible orbs? Mine is a 34 series camera and it's been excellent.

I have 2 33A "s and neither one have had any problems.

Yes I got wind of a final production run and my local bricks and mortar managed to secure me one. Also got the ef42 for it as well.

Mine is also a 33A, for what I know that means 2013 3rd Quarter, and then the control number, so the 43 Serial Number means 2014 3rd Quarter.

The Fuji camrera importer in my country told me that the 34 was really the last batch, and probably they were planning to replace the camera in 2014 (maybe that was why prices dropped so much between January and February 2014), but latter on, fuji change their mind and instead launching a new model they produced a last batch and there is the 43 serial number.
