Hi,

Noticed last night a stuck red pixel very close to the centre point, was obvious due to a black object. Its present at all ISO's. I looked online at how to fix, seems there are many videos which all say in summary,

- remove lens and place body cap.

- go to manual sensor clean and activate while pointing camera downward.

- wait for 1 minute then switch off.

- it should be fixed?

Tried this, no change. Also not seen any official documentation regarding this method so is it just an urban myth? Any other ideas?

I'm guessing there is an acceptable number of stuck pixels on a sensor, but how do you map them out without a visit to CPS?

Thanks

Clean now. Written in the manual at page 1034.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip, just did this and the irritating red dot has gone. Only took it 10 seconds or so.

Looking at page 1034 it was unrelated error codes, the clean now section didn't mention a remap. Is there a newer version of the manual?

Thanks

Hi, thanks, I found it later, its 1030.

Notice how they don't call them stuck or hot pixels but rather dots...

Not sure how cosmic rays got on my sensor, I was shooting 4k 24 in Clog the day before but only short clips and it was a cold day.
