I have an old Loreo 3D lense, which is fully manual without any elctric contacts. I used it on my 90D previously. I have an EF to R converter, which I use to conenct the lese to my R6 MK II. It says MF in the viewfinder but I cannot release the shutter. Anyone knowing where to tweak a setting to allow such a release, with a fully manual lense... Thanks a lot!

I have an R8 and it is in the Custom Functions menu #4. It is called "release shutter w/o lens". I believe it is the same for the R6II

Google results??

CanonOn Canon EOS mirrorless cameras, you will find the setting within the Custom Functions menu.
  1. Navigate to the Menu.
  2. Go to the Custom Functions tab (often indicated by a camera icon with gears).
  3. Locate the Release shutter w/o lens setting and turn it On.
  4. Consider enabling MF Peaking to get a visual assist for focus

Great, thank you. That did the trick.
