Just a quick PSA for obtaining shutter count and other information on the S5, and maybe others can confirm if this works or not on other models. I was following the instructions on the Apotelyt site, which didn't work. However, I found the following instructions on a reddit post which worked on my S5, so I thought I'd share it here:
1. Take a shot with the camera with an SD card inserted, then power the camera off.
2. Press and hold the Playback button and the AF ON button simultaneously, then turn the camera on while holding those buttons. Release the buttons after the camera turns on.
3. Press Menu/Set, then the wrench/spanner icon, and then in the sub-menu there should be two wrench/spanner icons with three dots below. Navigate to the second icon.
4. Select ERR CODE DISP, and a screen with a lot of zeroes displays. Press the Menu/Set button once more, and then the Camera Info screen will display with the shutter count and other numbers, such as firmware version and power-ups. Note that the shutter count shows the mechanical shutter activations only. Turn the camera off to return to normal operation.
Hope that is helpful
