Pro1 Samples

Thank you for your kind words.

Very impressed with this little camera, and as I get to know it better, I'm sure my results will also improve.

Nothing terribly clever included in this stuff, rather a mixed bag.

Still getting used to the Pro1, and digital in general.

Comments welcome.
Hi John.
You have some great samples there, as soon as I saw these photos I
thought this has to be Australia.

I have used my Pro1 for about one week now, and I am very pleased with it.
I Used to have a G3, a very good camera, but you could only go to A4 size.
I have one problem with my Pro 1: Some unsharpness in the upper left
corner of the picture at low f: number, and I think I can see the same
thing on some of yours too. Beside that the lence is very sharp.
I am not sure about how much of a problem this
is going to be. Do you have any thougts about this?

Niels

Hello John
From a Sony 717/828 user I too thought it had to be Australian views as it is not like any other country then I saw the name of the Gardens, excellent shots keep up the good work and keep those Aussie shots coming, You will enjoy the camera and like the 828 produce simply stunning shots.

I think what you are referring to is some vignetting visible in top left corner at times. It is certainly not soft or out of focus.

Don't know what causes it, but seems to have something to do with the zoom/aperture settings.

The images I posted are all full size,(apart from one) but in reality I usually end up cropping most of my shots, so the tiny piece of vignetting ends being discarded at any rate.

All things considered, I am very, very happy with the quality of the images I am getting out of this little package.

I use a D100 at work, and I am prepared to state that the images from the Pro1 are actually sharper and more saturated than the Nikon images.

Thank you for the kind words. I am gradually becoming more accustomed to this little beastie, and am very happy with the image quality I am getting.

Will post some more as I get time.
