... Well the first one maxed out - Surprised me too. Sorry if I could not get back to everyone as there was no room left :

Anyway, some really good images were put up, so let's keep it going.

No rules - Just post an image (or 2 or 3) you are proud of and tell a little about why.

Walked down to the beach (Waikiki) just before sunset, sat down in the sand and two minutes later this scene unfolded:

This one I like simply because all the people climbing this ruin are my co-workers. We all went to Mexico for 10 days for a company retreat, toured Tulum, Coba, Chichen Itza, some cenotes and generally just had a lot of fun.

This is the ruins at Coba, these ruins are much older than the more recent ones at Tulum, these date from about 100AD to 800AD.

I like this one because it shows the lengths some photographers will go to to get the shot, in the large shot you can see a figure on the rock outcropping, the second picture is zoomed in and heavily cropped so you can see what he is doing. He is, like many of us, waiting for the sun to set some.

Here are a couple of images I'm proud of. Both happened by accident.

1. After driving all afternoon looking for photo-op, I gave up and started heading home. It was a muggy day and the sun turned into a huge orange as it was setting. This shot is my favorite of a few I shot.

2. Went with my wife to Grand Bend (Ontario). It's considered the sunset capital of Ontario. On the way there the weather was cloudy and rainy. As we got to the motel and started unpacking, the sky lit up like it was on fire. I grabbed my camera and ran to the beach.

Jeff.

One of the nicest sunsets I've seen here. Good things come to those who wait...

I love the Grand Canyon shot. Did you get over to the North Rim on that trip? It's way different from the South Rim and just as beautiful. Last time I was there was way b4 my digital days, still using a Minolta X700 with Kodachrome. I wanna go back after I get my S100!
