Perplexed Once More - Converters, filters, adapters

Hello all,

In need of some assistance where my new tele converter zoom lens is concerned.

Am I understanding this correctly? I'm at work and don't have the camera with me to play around with, so please bear with me...

The adapter attaches to the camera. The tele converter to the adapter. But where does the filter go? Do I attach the filter to the adapter then attach the converter to the filter?

Max, if you're out there....HELP!!!!

You attach the adapter, then theconverter, then the filter IF you can mount the filter on the converter (for example the canon converters don't have filter threads => you cannot attach filters to canon converters for G3, G5). But with other convertors you can.

It's also another possibility to attach the filter between the converter and adapter, but the filter has to have a front and rear thread too.

Thanks, Daos! Having the Canon converters, I guess I'm stuck with putting the filter in between the converter and the adapter. Poor little unprotected converter :-(
