Hello, I'll be as brief as possible but thorough to avoid wasting your time in back-and-forth questions.

My Lumix G9 (bought used with less than 1k shutter count) started showing a really bad and ugly dots pattern. They are the same in each new photo since a few days ago.

I've not done anything different from regular use, always stills, because I am not a videographer. Although, to do more testing I shot a few seconds of video, and the problem shows also in video.

Please, review the samples I'm providing with this discussion thread and tell me what it could be and what I can do if there is any way of fixing this.

For now, I'd have to use the "Healing Spot" tool in any photo editing software. But of course, that's not optimal for quality and I want my healthy G9 back :-)

The first sample photos from the few weeks and months back are very clean and without the bad spots.

As you will see, the dots are circled for your reference in the most recent photos and show red and white color indoors and outdoors, and only white and black color spots in a white background.

To save you time in this discussion, these are the things I've already done:
  • Camera Version is the latest 2.7
  • Shutter Count 978 and Power Count 175
  • Also, all my lenses are in their latest version (Lumix 12-60mm, 20mm, 42.5mm, 25mm) all tested to see if the problem persisted, and it did.
  • I have done the Pixels Refresh and the in the camera menu with no positive results. So, I couldn't know if it's a dead pixel's problem.
  • I blew the sensor with the typical squeeze air pump, also with no positive results.
I have NOT physically cleaned the sensor with liquid and a swab yet. Waiting for a cleaning kit I ordered.

Please, comment and suggest positive solutions respectfully. I'd like to know if I can fix it somehow or Panasonic or another camera store/shop can fix this and if it's worth the investment or preferably buy a new one because of a high repair cost.

Beware, I'm not a pro by any stretch :-)

I lowered the images to 1024 pixels so they can be seen faster by you all. But of course, the originals are of much higher quality.

Thanks for your attention and help!

If you were shooting anything at a club or concert with a laser light display, and one of the beams hit your sensor, it would fry the pixels where it hits.

The little pink squiggles are the destroyed spots on your sensor.

Unfortunately, the only cure is sensor replacement.

Sorry.
