what do you use to get the data from Microdrive?

1. directly from camera?
2. from CompactFlash reader?
3. from PCMCICA reader?

is it okay to use a regular CompactFlash reader to read the data from Microdrive? will it damage the drive since you could pull the drive out without knowing if the Microdrive is in rest position or not?

I use the card reader that came with my drive. It is a usb device. I have a 1 gig ibm md. And love it. You should read the directions for your device but I believe that you should always use the eject command and wait a second before removing the drive. And tje drive will only fit in type 2 slots or you must use an adapter for type 1 slots. hope this helpd.
