I have C1 and C2 setup the way I want them. I can rotate the knob on top and C1 and C2 work just fine.

I've assigned buttons to recall C1 and C2. These don't work, they don't appear to do anything.

I'm not even sure where to look for help. I have big PDF manual, that showed me how to Set C1 and C2 by the wheel, and it showed me how to assign C1 and C2 recall to the buttons.

Thanks for any help.

Can I just check with you that when you try the assigned Custom Button that the Mode Dial is set to only the PASM modes i.e. not one of the C1 thru C4 modes.

Why, well it was my understanding that using such Custom Button allocations you must have the Dial set away from the Custom Mode numbers on the dial. NB well that is the way I...

Hi, I think you can only recall a C setup when not in another C setup. Like if your in A, S or M mode it should work but not if you’re for instance in C1 and want to recall C2.

Check out the bottom of this thread https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4802299 which includes a link to an explanatory video.

As far as I can determine, the button assignment to C1/C2 etc works only when the knob is set to one of the PASM modes. You can't use a button to switch from one C mode to another while your switch is in a C mode. I think the video also mentioned some need to match the PASM mode with the PASM mode of the stored C setting, but by that time I had decided the attempt wasn't worth the effort.

I just use the knob for C mode settings.
