Hello All,

I am returning to use Nikon Transfer 2 (Version 2.18.0) after a while away from it. Having a problem setting up the Primary Destination details so they work the way they used to.

I had it set up on a previous PC and it may have been an earlier version. I could transfer to folders automatically created based on the multiple shooting dates of a number of images. Now, it can create a folder for each transfer based on today's date but it puts all images into that one folder no matter what date they were shot.

Does anyone have experience of how to set the destination up for date-based destination subfolders?

Thank you

There is an option to create subfolders named with the date the images were shot. I've never used it. But perhaps when there are images shot on different dates, it creates a separate folder for each?

Thank you for replying.

I'm pretty sure you're right about those settings. In fact that is what I had set up in that tab. But there is more to it.

I just ran the process on the other PC where the date-based folders were working last time. There I discovered I had ALSO sorted the incoming images by date, which I had not done for this recent transfer. So when I get back to doing another transfer on the preferred PC I'll make sure to sort the images and it will likely work as expected.
