My New WebSite ..

Hi Bill,

Thumbnails are too small (for me) and it seems to take a long time to load, but once loaded and then if you click out of it and then go back it’s ok.

I like your Logo.
The music is okay.

In the “About Me” There is nothing, and the same in the Contacts.

Just my thoughts.

hi

i agree, the pictures took a really really long time to load, something you may want to work on if you want to keep your customers attention and not have him skip over to another wedding photographers site.

perhaps it is the music that slows down the loading time?

once its loaded, though, its nice and smooth. your logo is very cool

hi bill

looks really good, although those pictures really seeme to load quiet slowly.

you wouldn't have an instruction guide about how you've developed your site with flash? So far i've only designed with html and css. I've just got the studio 8 pack (with flash 8 and dreamweaver 8) and i really would love to creat something like your website, but i just don't know where to start.

Thx for any helpfull feedback. Take care, jim.

Hello,

Pretty much ditto what everyone else said..

But the pictures on the contact page... the inside picture needs to look more inviting, better lighting, need to match up to the window light and warmer.

What's up with the dead weed in front of the store window?

you are advertizing your business not weed begone..

Slow, slow, slow. How slow? So slow that I wanted to leave, and I have high speed internet. Your about page, well, too much type. Concentrate on the images and let them sell you. People only care that you can take a good picture. No prices. I'll go somewhere else where the prices are posted. One more thing, no address or phone. Put it everywhere so that you make it easy on your clients to reach you.

Like the photographs on the site but very slooowww to load and I've a 10mb pipe into my house. So slow I'd have given up long before looking at the 3rd image and moved on - sorry.

Gave up on flash after waiting for two images to s-l-o-w-l-y load. people want to look at images at their own speed, sometimes fast and sometimes slowly. having images slowly appearing is tedious.

not to say that what i saw wasn't good, but flash is just that...flash. I hate it. It's like having fins on a car, they don't do anything for performance of the car but make it heavier.

In contrast someone else has posted his site on this forum and I hope he will excuse me using it as an example of a really nice and easy to view images site. It's at.....

I have a 4mbit cable connection but I gave up on your page after about a minute. This is another example of why so many people don't like flash.

the two photos I was looking at were nice though - but then I got annoyed because of the speed and closed the page.

Have to agree....too slow loading even on fast DSL.

I like the layout though, clean and easy to navigate..

Word of caution....music is probably best avoided...very much a taste thing...not that its bad or anything, just whilst you like it...visitors may not.

Silence is golden!

Glad you didnt go overboard on it though..aka design..some people flash their whole site to death....best avoided.

You may be the nicest of guys doing your commercial best, but after I'd had my computer dominated by the disgustingly intrusive Flash, had to get Task Manager to remove the web connection and thereafter had to come back here, I'm in no mood to say nice things about your website.

If I had been a potential customer, you would be on my blacklist of photographers not to use, because they are only concerned with the way they present themselves, not with the needs of their potential customers. Your images may be beautiful -- I shall never know, because I was so enraged by the Flash rubbish that I quit as soon as I could.

You definitely need someone who is skilled in customer relations and website design to amend your current site.

You may think this is too harsh. If the dpreview rules and common decency did not forbid profanity and gratuitous insult, this message would have been very much harsher.

Despite the apparent contradiction, I wish you well in developing your practice as a pro photographer. We all need all the help we can get, and we don't need impediments like Flash to diminish the prospects of success.

I looked at your website, I normally don't like scrolling on a page but with your page it was smooth and it made sense..
Really cool website.. your wedding shots are especially nice.
Thank you for your comment.
