I got my 5D Mark II thursday. Friday I went out to record some movie clips. You are welcome to watch it, but please be aware that I am a total movie beginner. Please don't expect The Vincent Laforet Style. My little movie is just raw clips from the camera published in reduced resolution with no enhancement. I love that camera!!!
Regards!

Looks like you're already having a good time with it! You know, this only gets me more excited about 1080p video. Certainly I won't be trying to become an indy film maker or anything like that, but this will allow me to capture an element of a scene that might not come out in a still shot. I've always liked the idea of pairing images with music, but motion pictures with music might be even better. (The fountains remind me of how no image I've ever taken does justice to the Belagio fountains in Las Vegas... may have to go shoot some 1080p video of that some time.)

The potential of this camera is fantastic, as seen by your video. I picked mine up not 1hr ago can't wait... what lens did you use?

Bravo! That is a good video!

I am waiting for mine to come in the mail, and I am planning on buying my first Apple computer so I can edit video. Which computer did you use? I am thinking of either and IMAC 2.8 or a Mac Pro. I am not sure which one would handle 1080P videos. What would you recommend?

Very nice movie! Can't wait to get my hands on one of these for next years wedding season.

It took me right back to when I went to Tivoli way back in '87 when I was a cruise ship photographer. Those were the days!

If that is something can be done by a novice then I can see HD video is the way to go for dSLRs. Any new high end FF dSLR without HD video is no longer in the competition.

Wow, simply lovely.

I have the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro and an arsenal of lenses

Just need the camera.

This is wonderful = congratulations to you!

Thanks for sharing

Outstanding job. I agree with others who are asking for more information, editing software and especially the lenses used.

I was told my Mark II is due in any day and you video has me more anxious than ever to start shooting.

Thanks for sharing.
