Thanks, I fiddle with it and got it to work like you said. Nice
shot. Gordon, did you have any trouble focusing? Are you using
just the regular Canon adapter? I've got a Celestron NexStar 8" SC
with all the right bits but I haven't done much yet. Davidk
Thanks for your moon photo.
Here is a shot of the moon I did for testing my new lens ( 300L IS
both 1.4 and 2X teleconverters stacked ).

A T adaptor for EOS will do.What kind of adapter do you use? I have a Meade LX10 and would love
to hook up the D60.
Thanks for the reply. Wow, nice shot! It looks like you got really
close. Did you crop much?

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I did have a little trouble focusing.
I have since bought the angle finder, haven't had a chance to use
it yet, but I hope it will make it easier. This was taken using the
Celestron NexStar 8" SC. How do you like yours?

I have a Canon D60, magnifying angle finder, variable T-adapter and
Meade LX90 SCT. I've found accurate focussing with the D60 to be
difficult due to diopter adjustment offsets.
Do you have any techniques for fast, accurate focussing with an SLR
body? Use of a Hartman Mask has been suggested to me on this forum.
Thanks!

Brian...
But, the NexStar is really good. Quite easy to align and it does
stay on target. I find that, with the D60 on - because of the
weight, it does take a bit more to get and stay on target, but you
can do it. The mosquitoes this year drove me inside most of the
time and right now it's just too darn cold. But I have to get out
soon. Are you using just the EOS t-adapter?

--No, I don't really have any good focusing techniques. Actually, I'm
just a beginner at astrophotography, & need a lot more practice.
Unfortunately, here in Ohio there are not too many oportunities
this time of yearWhat's the story on the Hartman Mask?
