Thinking of getting a tablet to display photos (show to friends, family, photographers, and probably even clients).

Normally I would think that the Apple iPads are probably the best for this but I don't really care to pay the high price of Apple products to be honest. Was looking at perhaps one of the 8 inch or 10 inch Samsung galaxy tablets, which may do the trick.

My only concern with some tablets is color accuracy (and I know that while it will probably be displayed under different lighting conditions so it may be hard to calibrate a screen, if you even can). I know the Apple devices likely don't need calibration.

Thoughts on what I should go for or if there is a color calibration system that can be used with, say, Android tablets to get me close to what an iPad would show or just more accurate colors, without the price?

Ah that apple...

According to serious reviews like Notebookcheck etc., contrary to popular belief, iPhone and iPad screens are not the most accurately calibrated screens. Fortunately, however, almost all tablets, especially drawing-oriented ones, have a variety of color pre-registered and configurable calibration options. So you can buy an Android tablet and pay for the hardware itself, not the brand.

So the recommendation would be a Xiaomi Pad 6 with a price/performance ratio that almost nobody can argue against. For 1/3 the price of an iPad.

Extremely fast CPU

a good screen

good sound quality

Good drawing skills, although not at a professional level

USB 3.1
