As an enthusiast of the Olympus 90/3.5 Macro on the compact Panasonic G100 (type) I have just taken delivery of the JJC Macro Arm Light (Part Code LED-ARM2).

It works well and will work on L-Mount kit as it is always-on LED technology - rechargeable battery in the device. Simple to use and with two long flexible forward facing flexible antennae. 10-levels of light strength - default level 5 is quite bright. Mounts on hot shoe and works independently off its own service panel.

Might be an interesting add-on for anyone needing steady continuous directional light for their photography/video. It is powerful enough for more than just macro lighting.

Pricing on Alibaba is all over the place and seems to range from AUD$25-AUD$50's. Which would translate roughly to about US$15-US$30+. Good value for a well made product.

Tom--Can the brightness level of each light be adjusted independently or only together?

Thanks for posting this, by the way.

Each arm independently bent to shape by flexible coupling. Can be set to work off/on independently or use both with light intensity levels 1-10. Intensity can be set independently on each light source arm. Default level 5 for both which is quite bright. I imagine that both stalk lights could be adjusted to work in parallel direction if required for extra localised intensity.

I am going to try it with a standard lens to see how effective its light path is at some distance.

"Antennae" are approx 30cm long and hold their shape well. Quite light, any bother of their size is purely incidental to their function. The intelligent box, with battery, control buttons and readout, sits above the hot shoe mount.
