Is there a way to print from iPads or iPhones using an ICC profile?

Ideally, not using AirPrint.

I see that Epson supports a few printers and does this with the Print Layout app, but it doesn't work with older printers like the P800. Are there other apps or means?

This may not help, but the Windows drivers for Canon printers let you set the profile and rendering intent in the driver.
