If you only had "two" lenses?

You'll have to ignore the gallery's collection of bad compositions, improper exposures, and amateurish post processing. ;)

Canon 17-55 and Canon 70-200/f4. Oh I need the Canon 10-22 also (is that more than 2?).

What would they be?
24-105mm f/4L and 50mm f/1.4 (or 50mm f/1.2L depending on how it performs).

Because it makes a big difference in the angle of view obtained you should also ask which camera people will be using the two lenses on (5D for me).

If it was only two, it would be the
24-105 F4L
100-400 F4.5-5.6L

and the 100-400 is there only because I need that reach. In practice it may not ever see a place in my lens lineup.

24-105 IS and 70-200/2.8 IS (coupled with a 1.4x and 2.0x TC).

On my 5D:

24-105mm/f4 IS
70-200mm/f4 IS

Oh, and 50mm/f1.4

Most would argue that this is the most versatile setup on FF, and the only two I intend on owning. Depending upon the quality of the 50 / 1.2 L of course.

Except I got the straight 70~200/2.8L, as I always shoot it from a monopod.

Assume that the TC 1.4 is not a lens.

So on the 5D that covers 24~280 and you need just a zoom pack to carry it.
