I mean the concept is simple but does it make big difference in right circumstances? Also what do you do to orient CPL to proper angle to get the most benefit.
I personally have used it to get rid of atmospheric haze with varying degree of success. I have never been able to noticeably reduce reflection when trying to eliminate reflection from water surface.
As for the orientation, I rotate and eyeball for the best effect. However I run into issue with long lens and with moving subjects, where eyeball adjustments are more difficult. Is there a way to figure out the best orientation and adjust beforehand without having to look through viewfinder?
