Hi there, I'm here with a frequent topic but after a lot of reading I'm still not clear, so I'm hoping some experienced advice can enlighten my way :)

I am travelling to Iceland in two weeks time and will be taking my Fuji X-S10 mirrorless camera along with 2-3 lenses. I live in Germany and although I do hike from time to time, I don't have a proper backpack, so I would like to buy a backpack for hiking / travelling with space on the top for some clothes, water bottle, etc. and with quick access to a camera+lens unit on the bottom, so I don't have to spend too long changing them when I need to.

I'd like it to be between 20-30l, so it can fit under the airplane seat (in theory max 45x30x25cm), with a raincoat, a zip/side access to a camera unit while having room above for clothes, etc. and ideally up to 200€.

I found these models as backpacks for photographers following some tips from the forum:

New:
  • Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III 100€
  • Lowepro Photo Active BP 300 AW 130€
  • Lowepro PhotoSport BP AW III 24l 150€
Second hand:
  • Prvke 31 L 150€
  • f-stop Lotus 32L 190€
  • Shimoda Action X30 230€
  • Shimoda Urban Explore 30 240€
  • Shimoda Explore V2 30 300€
On the other hand and thanks to post from @Chris 222, I know that hiking specific backpacks like from Deuter or Osprey are more comfortable (especially if they have a TMP tensioned mesh panel), so the ideal one would have that TMP, enough space for a third party small camera unit and a zip/side access to it. So far I know some people tried it with the MH500 or the Stratos 26:
  • Decathlon MH500 65€
  • Osprey STRATOS 26 130€
  • Deuter FUTURA 26 (with front access) 150€
  • Deuter FUTURA PRO JAYPACK 36 320€
Of all these options, which one would you recommend I get? should I look for a backpack with TMP like the ones from Osprey or Deuter with side access, even if they lack some photographic extras? Are there any new models from them that might be more suitable for my use?

Or would a Shimoda tick all the boxes better? or maybe a cheaper Lowepro would be enough for the job?

Many thanks!
