Help with retouching this pic of my daughter

I was sitting out in the yard early one morning when my daughter came out fresh from sleep...I had to take this picture which I love but there are lots wrong with it...from light to shadow etc etc.

If anyone would like to have an attempt at turning this snap into a portrait I would really appreciate it.

First off, this is a great photograph. There are so many different ways you can go with this photo. I'm not sure why, but I liked the contrast between her sharp-looking bangs and face. Therefore, I wanted to modify this portrait to accentuate that contrast.

Just doing my best to keep it natural. The trick I used here was to use Xero's fuzzifier filter to blend the skin.
