I wanted to get a better-resolution "map" of our vacant property (~40 acres in upstate New York) than is possible from Google Earth, so I flew my Mini 3 Pro at near-max altitude (~380 feet) and tried to get a grid of overlapping stills I could stitch together into a panorama. Either my overlaps are insufficient, or my stitching is not well-practiced, etc... I can get portions to match / mesh, but between perspective skewing and various stitch / stretch artifacts, I've been unable to get the whole property together before it starts looking like a potato chip or Escher drawing or something.
I've since learned that there are programs one can use to have the drone automatically follow a flightpath, taking stills every x seconds along the way, and then use those to automagically build a panorama of the property, or even some sort of 3D cloud pattern. What have you tried, and found to work well? Will it work with a Mini 3 Pro?
Thanks,
Teo
