Ratio/Zoom Tip for the 100RF:

Selecting the Framing Outline option (not Framing Guideline, which is the first option – this is the last option on the 2nd screen) in “Screen Setting > Disp. Custom Setting” further enhances aspect ratio and digital crop modes by placing a gray outline around the image frame. This assists when using the solid black mask mode for shooting dark scenes where it’s hard to see the frame edges otherwise. And this helps the semi-transparent mask mode by making the imaging area more obvious in all situations.

It would be nice if Framing Outline had sub-options to change the color of the outline similar to how we can choose focus peaking color and intensity. A red frame outline would be really cool.

Histogram Comments:

Most probably already know this, but it might be worth mentioning anyway. Mapping a function button to Histogram toggles an RGB histogram over live view, so you don’t have to replay a captured image just to see the RBG histogram of a given scene.

Do we all agree that we need the option to allow a persistent small RGB histogram in live view and not just the current average histogram? Canon has a great small RGB histogram option on their R cameras.

Another histogram option should be to tie Highlight Warning in live view to flash only when one of the RGB histogram channels clips instead of when the average histogram clips. (Unless it already works that way, and I didn't know it.)

Finally, the average histogram could be changed to a composite histogram of the RGB channels, which would serve the same purpose of the RGB histogram, which is to more accurately avoid highlight clipping. Alternatively, a composite histogram could just overlay all three color channels together like we see done in Capture One/Lightroom's histogram panels.

Is there an advantage to using an average histogram versus a composite histogram?
